"HI Susan, I have always heard that it is the dried leaves of cherry trees that are harmful to horses, either on the ground or on a dead tree. I'm not sure about the bark. We have horses and cherry trees, and we do watch them but they don't…"

"Katie, I watch my horses with my wild cherry trees, if you have any, keep an eye on them. If I understand correctly, it's not just the cherry trees but a certain time of year under certain conditions. What do you know about this? "

"Hi, Katie. I have Elderberries and horses, and the two do mix...none of my horses (7) have shown any kind of interest in the shrubs, and I have a couple that will grab leaves out of other trees.....Susan"
