elderberry, elderflower, and everything in between
My friend told me these were elderberries, can anyone confirm or deny?
Comment by ian robbins on September 11, 2012 at 9:21am Hi! Those appear to be Aralia nudicaulis (commonly Wild Sarsaparilla,[1] False sarsaparilla, Shot bush, Small Spikenard, Wild Liquorice, and Rabbit Root) google any of those names and check it out to better identify.
Comment by Skye Hitchcock on October 30, 2012 at 1:54pm Hi All, I just joined this group. I am from Vancouver Island and my partner and I have 3 acres that we hope to plant in Elderberries this Spring! We are very inspired and excited. So far we have been wild crafting the Blue Elderberry as they grow plentiful here. We are not too sure which varieties we plan to plant. So far this season I have made syrup, dried some berries and have 2, 5 gallon carboy's of wine fermenting. I do not know how many members are a part of this group but I hope to make connections with others that love this bush! Thank you!
definitely not elderberry!!!
