Permalink Reply by Katie Birchenough on February 21, 2010 at 1:27pm Hi, Katie. I have Elderberries and horses, and the two do mix...none of my horses (7) have shown any kind of interest in the shrubs, and I have a couple that will grab leaves out of other trees.....Susan

I did read that elderberries can be toxic but that horses are not inclined towards them, which is what you are saying, too, so I will plant elderberries. Thank you so much.

Permalink Reply by Katie Birchenough on February 21, 2010 at 9:42pm Katie, I watch my horses with my wild cherry trees, if you have any, keep an eye on them. If I understand correctly, it's not just the cherry trees but a certain time of year under certain conditions. What do you know about this?
